Lindrick Players learning life saving skills from St John Ambulance

Members of Lindrick Players recently took part in an engaging and practical Community First Aid training session delivered by Hazel Thompson from Rotherham St John Ambulance.

The session covered essential lifesaving skills including DRABC (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation), CPR, the use of a defibrillator, the recovery position, choking treatment, bleeding control, and the treatment of burns and scalds.

Participants were encouraged to share their own experiences and build the confidence needed to respond in an emergency.

Training Feedback

Hazel Thompson said:

The group was very enthusiastic and eager to learn. Everyone was keen to practise on the manikins and develop their skills in dealing with situations such as choking. The confidence gained from learning these simple techniques could help save a life.

The training was warmly received by members of the amateur dramatic society.

Sam Caudwell said:

It was a great session, interactive and a fun way of learning. It was so helpful and very informative.
